Organisations on an April fiscal year often rush kickoff materials in February and March. January starters face a different squeeze: December close fatigue meeting January pack demands.
In both cases, application drift shows up in similar places: reused templates with outdated thresholds, skipped challenge notes when calendars collide with holidays, and capital requests parked until “after the busy month.” An audit timed eight to ten weeks before kickoff catches these patterns while there is still room to rewrite instructions.
